Project Info
TurBinD was a college start up that aimed to utilize small scale wind turbines to act as mobile charging stations and information centers. The goal was to position these turbines around campus near bus stops and benches to give your phone a quick charge and teach students about green energy. Our prototype was constructed using 3d prints and successfully generated energy from the wind! We worked with the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship and were nominated for social entrepreneur of the year.
