Project Description - ENME 472
ENME 472 is the capstone design class at the University of Maryland. Our team intended to create a product to help individuals suffering from hand tremors due to Parkinson's Disease write more easily. The final design concept was a stabilization pen that uses input data from a gyroscope and transmits that information to linear actuators to counteract the motion of Parkinson's tremors. The initial prototype showed a 70% reduction in Pitch angle and an 80% reduction in Roll angle.
